## Episode summary
Second episode of the Al-Shifa mini-arc. Bridges from the Ibn Sina bio episode and walks
through his most famous single thought experiment in full: a person created fully formed,
suspended in the air, deprived of every sensation (sight, touch, hearing, even bodily
contact with their own limbs). Ibn Sina argues this person would still affirm their own
existence — self-awareness is immediate and prior to sensory experience of the body,
which implies the soul is distinct from the body. Ties this back into Ibn Sina's broader
project in Kitab al-Shifa.
## Pipeline (unchanged, proven again)
Notion AI (Content Studio custom agent) generated the script -> edge-tts
(en-US-AriaNeural) rendered the audio -> Ghost Admin API uploaded the media and published
the post. Clean single-attempt publish, HTTP 201, no duplicate slug.
## Bridges to next
Closes by teasing Ibn Sina's deeper metaphysics: the distinction between essence and
existence — episode 3 of the arc, which will also call back to how this shaped Thomas
Aquinas's own metaphysics.
